Man Killed Outside Burma Love on Valencia

Read more here.Police have confirmed the death of a 39-year-old man who was stabbed outside of Burma Love at 211 Valencia St. near Duboce Thursday evening.Mathew Fiame, a San Francisco resident, was found suffering from a stab wound around 6:25 p.m. outside of the restaurant and was transported to the hospital, where he died of his injury. Police have reported no arrests, but are looking for a 35-year-old suspect.At 8:30 p.m. the block from Clinton Park to Duboce remained cordoned off, although patrons of Burma Love and passerby’s were permitted to walk through and enter the business. Tags: crimes • Homicide Share this: FacebookTwitterRedditemail,0%center_img The staff at Burma Love said Thursday evening they did not see anything as they were working and the incident took place outside on Valencia Street.On Friday morning, one regular at nearby bar Zeitgeist, Sunny Grundstron, said based on a photo of the victim police had shown him he was reasonably sure the man often panhandled in the neighborhood.Grundstron also said he saw the victim earlier in the day arguing with two people, though he did not witness the homicide.Emily Lee, a server at Burma Love, said she wasn’t working the night before but was concerned when she heard about the incident.“It’s scary that something like this could happen right out front of my work,” she said.This story has been corrected. The reward this time was a performance from the Kenya Safari Acrobats from Greensboro.“We get a paycheck when we do our job, so we don’t consider it like bribing. Castle Hayne dog boarding facility suddenly shut down

The sheriff’s office says the violations were not fixed, so the State of North Carolina did not renew the facility’s license.The sheriff’s office says the business has been operating without a license.When deputies arrived, pet owners were notified to go and get their dogs. And so to scramble to find a safe place to take them, it’s really scary. And especially what if someone can’t get here by 5:00 or they can’t get in touch with them. He says Spectrum customers should check their payments.John Barry tells us Spectrum is calling it simply a glitch. However for him, it’s more than $300 that has put a hole in his fixed income.- Advertisement – “It’s frustrating to look at your bank account and it’s down $151 extra than usual,” said Barry.Barry stayed hopeful it wasn’t a major issue, but his phone calls to the cable service provider haven’t eased his mind.“They didn’t know how or when it was going to be fixed. Homicide investigation underway after missing man found during Florence identified

first_img According to a news release, Alfonso had been missing from Robeson County since September 13 and was found 3 days later in the 8900 block of Joe Brown Highway North in Chadbourn, near the Bladen County line. State board of elections partially appoints Bladen County board of elections

first_img The State Board declined to appoint a fourth member because all other nominees provided by the state Republican and Democratic parties served on the Bladen County Board of Elections during recent turmoil in that county’s elections. The governor appoints the chair.On March 8, Kim Westbrook Strach, State Board executive director, sent letters asking the state Democratic and Republican parties whether they wanted to provide substitute nominations considering recent developments in Bladen County.
